2) Dab, In The Center

A new trend that has caught on is the center dab – it helps your lips look more vibrant and full. After you’ve applied lipstick, simply take a shadow brush to dab a bit of blush in the center of your top and bottom lips. In fact, you can go easy on your eyeshadow, contouring and highlighting and instead focus more on your lip makeup.

3) Shine Bright Like A Diamond
It’s time to draw inspiration from the ’90s and early ’00s with shiny lips. Yes, this trend is back in vogue. Go ahead and buy some shiny-finished lipsticks and glosses for summer-time. Shiny lips look healthier and hydrated.  Just make sure you pick options that aren’t cheap and sticky. Amy Adams, Mandy Moore and Jennifer Lopez have all been rocking this trend. If you’re really reluctant to go full-on glossy, you can also try a satin-finish lipstick. And, if you want to make the most of your pre-existing matte collection, simply layer gloss over them. Get creative!
4) Yes, Matte’s Still “In”
If you only swear by mattes, well, this trend is actually big in Korea, even though glossy lips are more popular in the USA for summer-time. In fact, in Allure’s recent article, Jennyhouse’s manager, Natalie Lee, reveals that velvety hot-pink and fuchsia matte lipsticks are quite the rage in Korea right now.

We hope these four tips help you explore new possibilities with your lipstick application this summer season. We’re sure you’ll look even hotter than the temperature once you try ’em out!
